It’s a lot easier than I thought it would be to install. Just take the old magazine button out and replace with the extension. Works good for me and haven’t had any trouble so far.

Lot easier to install than I thought it would be. Glad I got it for these crazy CA regulations.

With the new laws in california I was concerned about the legality of the maglock. After doing some research i found this to be the best and easiest way to stay compliant.

Product Description

AR Maglock

The AR MAGLOCK provides an AR-15 magazine lock solution for AR-15 owners to fix the magazine to the rifle. This allows the rifle to be compliant with SB880 without requiring “assault weapon” registration. If you’re looking for a fixed magazine safety lock and release then the AR Mag lock is for you. The AR MAGLOCK provides AR-15 owners in California the ability to make their rifle legal.

AR Maglock Installation

Estimated Installation Time: 10 minutes
Difficulty Level: Easy

Here’s a detailed, step by step AR Maglock installation guide.

AR Maglock Includes

  • AR Maglock
  • Hex key for installation
  • Extended takedown pin
  • O-ring

How the AR MAGLOCK Works

It’s quite simple, really. The AR MAGLOCK does nothing more but engage the magazine causing it to become fixed to the AR-15 until the operator detaches the rear takedown pin. This means the rifle is then disassembled and, therefore, complies with California SB 880 and AB 1135 as well as the Department of Justice regulations.

It is also believed that the AR MAGLOCK meets the detachable laws of other restrictive states including New York, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, and others. This isn’t legal advice so as always, if you are concerned about legality, contact your attorney for legal advice.
